Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Gfloss.

About Gfloss

What is Gfloss?

Gfloss is a hands-free dental floss designed to make flossing easier to fit into real life.

Instead of wrapping floss around your fingers, you place Gfloss in your mouth and move it with your tongue and lips to clean between your teeth.

Is Gfloss a replacement for traditional floss?

Gfloss is designed to complement traditional floss, not necessarily replace it for everyone.

Traditional floss can still be great when you have the time, privacy, and clean hands to use it properly. Gfloss was created for the moments when traditional floss is easiest to skip: after meals, at work, while traveling, in the car, or on the go.

Who is Gfloss for?

Gfloss is for anyone who wants an easier way to floss more often.

It can be especially helpful for people who hate traditional floss, forget to floss, struggle to build the habit, or want a more discreet way to floss after meals.

Can I use Gfloss with braces?

We do not recommend Gfloss for braces.

Braces can make flossing more complex, and the product may not move properly around brackets or wires. If you have braces, ask your dentist or orthodontist for the best flossing method for your case.

Can I use Gfloss with Invisalign or clear aligners?

Yes. Just remove your aligners before using Gfloss.

When wearing clear aligners, food trapped between teeth can stay covered for hours. Using Gfloss after meals helps clean between teeth before putting your aligners back in, helping keep your mouth cleaner, your aligners fresher, and your oral care routine easier to maintain.

How to Use Gfloss

How do I use Gfloss?

Place Gfloss in your mouth with the floss between your teeth. Then use your tongue and lips to guide it gently between teeth.

Start slowly. Most people need a short learning curve before it feels natural.

Do I need my hands to use it?

You may use your hands to place Gfloss in your mouth, but once it is positioned, it is designed to be moved hands-free using your tongue and lips.

Do I need a mirror?

No. Gfloss is designed to be used without a mirror.

That is one of the reasons it works well after meals, at work, while traveling, or whenever traditional floss feels inconvenient.

Can I use Gfloss in public?

Yes. Gfloss was designed to be discreet.

You can use it with your mouth closed, making it easier to floss in real-life situations where traditional floss would feel awkward.

How long does it take to learn?

Most people understand the idea in seconds, but it gets easier with practice.

Gfloss may feel different the first time because it is a new way to floss. After a few uses, it usually becomes easier to control and guide between teeth.

Cleaning & Reuse

Is Gfloss reusable?

Gfloss is designed to be durable and can be reused throughout the day if cleaned properly.

We recommend rinsing it after use and storing it in a clean place, such as the Gfloss travel case.

How do I clean Gfloss after use?

Rinse Gfloss with water after use. If you have the UV-C Sanitizing Travel Case, place Gfloss inside the case and close the lid to start the sanitizing cycle.

How many times can I reuse one Gfloss?

Reuse depends on how you use it and how clean you keep it.

Replace it if the floss becomes worn, damaged, loose, or dirty.

What is the UV-C Sanitizing Travel Case?

The UV-C Sanitizing Travel Case is a compact case designed to keep Gfloss clean, protected, and ready on the go.

It stores up to 2 Gfloss flossers and runs a 3-minute UV-C sanitizing cycle.

Does the UV-C case charge with USB-C?

Yes. The UV-C Sanitizing Travel Case is USB-C rechargeable.

Safety & Materials

What is Gfloss made of?

Gfloss is made with food-grade HDPE and soft, high-strength UHMWPE dental floss designed for oral care use.

The design is durable, lightweight, and uses about 50% less plastic than a traditional floss pick.

Is Gfloss PFAS-free?

Yes. Gfloss is PFAS-free.

Is Gfloss BPA-free?

Yes. Gfloss is BPA-free.

Is Gfloss flavored?

The original Gfloss is unflavored.

What happens if I accidentally swallow Gfloss?

Gfloss is designed with safety features such as airflow holes, a shape designed to make accidental swallowing less likely, and radiopaque material, meaning it can be seen on X-rays.

If Gfloss is accidentally swallowed, it may pass through the digestive system naturally. If you feel any discomfort or have any concern, contact a medical professional immediately.

Why does Gfloss have holes?

Gfloss includes airflow holes as a safety feature.

They are part of the design to help reduce risk if the product is accidentally swallowed.
